The intellectual anchor of the expo was Egypt’s Business Conference (BiznEx 2022 B-Talks Conference Agenda), running concurrently with the exhibition from December 1st to 3rd at the Mamsha Ahl Misr. Dubbed the first platform to discuss investment opportunities in various fields and the latest business developments in the Egyptian market, the conference successfully brought together government entities, industry experts, and owners of the largest brands in the Middle East.

The B-Talks was a comprehensive event spanning 3 Days, featuring 19 Conference Sessions led by over +60 Speakers on more than +20 Topics. Its main goal was to turn networking into unlimited investment opportunities by providing high-level market intelligence and fostering collaborations between key stakeholders.

Critical Topics and Conference Overview

The 19 sessions of the B-Talks (BiznEx 2022) were strategically organized into a coherent agenda focusing on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the Egyptian economy, aligning with the national Egypt Vision 2030. Key areas of detailed discussion included:

  • Financial Stability & Investment Security: Panels addressed economic factors such as Devaluation & Revaluation (“Fighting The Float”) and guided attendees on “Diving Into Safe Investments & Franchises.

  • National Industrial Strategy: A dedicated session focused on EBDA: National Initiative For Egyptian Industry Development, emphasizing the state’s plan for industrial localization and growth.

  • Business Growth & Digital Transformation: Topics covered the essential progression of Family Businesses, the impact of Digitalization and Franchising, and Enhancing Sales Models Through Advancements in Fintech & Payment Systems.

  • Real Estate and Infrastructure: Discussions explored Real Estate Expansion in New Cities and Its Effects on Commercial Migration and the role of commercial attractions in Tourism & Nation Branding.

B-Talks Conference Daily Agenda and Speakers

Day 1 | Thursday, December 1st, 2022

The first day launched with a focus on national initiatives and foundational financial strategy:

  • From 11:00 AM – 01:30 PM, the Opening Ceremony featured Mrs. Malak El Ashiry, Founder and CEO of BiznEX Holding, as a speaker. This session also included Eng. Khaled Hassan, Partnerships Section Head in EBDAA, presenting on the “EBDA: National Initiative For Egyptian Industry Development”.

  • Following this, from 01:30 PM – 02:00 PM, Dr. Ghada Khalil, Director of the Rowad 2030 Project at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, discussed “Startups Sustainability And Their Role In The Economy”.

  • Mr. Mohamed Naqed, Presenter of Al Sanayaia, then moderated the discussion on “Devaluation & Revaluation, Fighting The Float” from 02:00 PM – 03:00 PM.

  • The strategic panel “Diving Into Safe Investments & Franchises” was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Sobhi, Dean of Swiss School of Management Cairo (03:00 PM – 04:00 PM).

  • Mr. Hany Aman, CEO and MD of Eastern Company, delivered a session on “Industrial Development Strategies & Brand Trends In The Global Competition” (04:15 PM – 04:30 PM).

  • The afternoon included a discussion on “Real Estate Expansion In New Cities And Its Effects On Commercial Migration” moderated by Dr. Jana Matrawy, Presenter at Al Nahar (04:30 PM – 05:30 PM).

  • The day concluded with Dr. Hesham Al Eraky, Professor at CITL and Supply Chain Incubator Manager at AAST Entrepreneurship Center, moderating “Startups Development And Business Incubators” (05:30 PM – 06:30 PM), and Mr. Tamer Soliman, Managing Director at Tiye Solutions, presenting on “Digitalization And Franchise” (06:30 PM – 07:00 PM).

Day 2: Friday, December 2nd, 2022

The second day centered on investment, family business, and legal frameworks:

  • Mr. Haitham Talha, CEO of HIC Group Supply Chain, kicked off the day by moderating the financial session “Money Rabbits / Where To Invest?” (02:00 PM – 03:00 PM).

  • Mr. Adnan Khorakiwala, Co-Founder and Owner of Monginis, provided industry insight on “The Future Of Egyptian Market In Exporting Local Franchises” (03:00 PM – 03:30 PM).

  • Mr. Ahmed Ezz, Financial Analyst and Lecturer of Finance and Economics at AAST, moderated the essential session “The Progression Of Family Businesses & Their Evolution In The Market” (04:30 PM – 05:30 PM).

  • Mr. Khaled Baramawy, Presenter of Borset El Kalam, moderated a specialized discussion on “The Digitalization & Opportunities Of The F&B Industry” (05:30 PM – 06:00 PM).

  • A crucial legal session, “Challenging The Legislative; Franchising Laws And Trademark Legal Protection”, was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Sobhi, Dean of Swiss School of Management Cairo (07:00 PM – 08:00 PM).

  • The day ended with Mr. Hossam Badr El Deen, CEO of El Komy Group, delivering a talk on “Sustainable Development In Green Field Investments” (08:00 PM – 09:00 PM).

Day 3: Saturday, December 3rd, 2022

The final day focused on brand equity, market branding, gender in business, and fintech advancements:

  • The day began with Dr. Heba El Ashry, Deputy Director of AAST Entrepreneurship Center, moderating the strategic session “Investing In Brand Equity Strategies & Measuring Outcomes” (01:00 PM – 02:00 PM).
