The accompanying Leadership Conference is a key feature, hosting over 25 sessions and 50 experts to debate crucial market trends, regulatory updates, and strategic investment paths.

The SME Consulting Expert Talks were a central feature of this conference, showcasing our firm’s commitment to not only consult but also to lead the intellectual discourse on sustainable energy development in the region. Our contribution of proprietary market analysis and strategic expertise directly influenced conversations regarding project financing, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and supporting the local ecosystem vital to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 targets.

• Focus: This session tackled the critical subject of Financing Sustainable Infrastructure and the need for robust mechanisms to attract capital. Dr. El Bana’s contributions focused on the necessary logistics, supply chain efficiency, and strategic planning required to successfully structure Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), leverage Foreign Investment, and manage major infrastructure projects to facilitate the growing role of Cross-Border Energy Trade in the regional power grid.

Dr. Mohamed El Banna’s insights on logistics and supply chain finance were delivered in the context of the Day 3 Investment Track. His participation complemented the high-level dialogue led by Dr. Atter Hannoura (Ministry of Finance) and Eng. Ashraf Zeitoun (EBRD – Green Economy Financing Facility). By addressing the practical logistics of Cross-Border Energy Trade, Dr. El Banna provided the operational “how-to” that supported the Ministry’s high-level financial frameworks.

• Focus: Tailored specifically for SMEs and Youth Leaders in Energy, Mr. Nabil’s talk provided entrepreneurs with a strategic blueprint for financial resilience and investment readiness. He stressed that: “Start-up entrepreneurs must define goals well, know how to achieve them, develop a good and clear budget plan, and consider alternative financing to avoid project failure during the recession, in order to achieve what investors in startups are looking for in terms of a clear investment structure, a great product or service, and guaranteed growth potential and sustainable business.”

Mr. Mostafa Nabil’s session on “SMEs and Youth Leaders in Energy” was a pivotal part of the closing day’s agenda. This track was explicitly designed to provide a platform for young innovators to present ideas ahead of COP27. Mr. Nabil’s strategic advice on “recession-proofing” startups provided the necessary financial grounding for these innovators, directly supporting the Ministry of Environment’s goal to involve youth in the national climate dialogue.
